Navy assists cleaning campaign of Beira Lake
 

Upon the request of the chief incumbent of the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) under its Mayor Mrs. Rosie Senanayake launched a campaign to clean the Beira Lake and surrounding areas yesterday (22nd July).

Navy brings a critically ill fisherman ashore for treatment
 

Sri Lanka Navy, today (20th July) brought a critically ill fisherman ashore for medical treatment, with the assistance of Indian Coast Guard. The person had set off for fishing practices onboard the multiday fishing trawler “Neli Duwa” from Trincomalee on 03rd of this month.

Four Indian nationals apprehended with 36.1 kg of Kerala cannabis in northern seas
 

Based on information received by the Navy, a group of naval personnel onboard a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, during routine patrol, apprehended four (04) Indian nationals with 36. 1kg of Kerala cannabis in the sea area west of Analathivu island yesterday (16th July).
