Two Bangladesh naval ships, BNS “Somudra Avijan” and BNS “Somudra Joy” arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit yesterday (29). The Commanding Officers of the two Bangladeshi ships; Captain Kamrul Hoque Chowdhry and Captain M Humayan Kabir called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (30).
They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance. Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill. Meanwhile, the Defence Attaché of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Sri Lanka, Commodore Shah Aslam Parvez and a group of under trainings officers onboard the ships also joined this occasion.
