Navy renders assistance to repair sluice gate of Nuwara Wewa

Navy divers of SLNS Thammanna in Thaleimannar started the repair work to a sluice gate of Nuwara Wewa in Anuradhapura on 29th May 2016 as one of its main sluice gates went non-operational for few days.

Seven Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

On information received, naval personnel attached to Oluvil Naval Sub Unit in Southeast Naval Area in collaboration with P 225 and P 143 Fast Attack Craft (FAC) arrested 29 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing activities in the seas off Kalmunai yesterday (29).
