Sri Lankan triathlon champ of ‘Ironman 70.3’ meets Commander of the Navy

Sri Lanka Navy’s Leading Physical Training Instructor Suranga Kumara who put in a notable performance at the long distance triathlon race, ‘Ironman 70.3’ held at the Galle Face Green in Colombo on 25 February, met Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters today (28 February).

Leading PTI JMSN Kumara tops Sri Lankan participation at Ironman 70.3

The long distance triathlon race, Ironman 70.3, was held at the Galle Face Green in Colombo on 25 February with the participation of 612 contestants from 62 countries. Representing the Sri Lanka Navy 5 athletes contested in the event and Leading Physical Training Instructor, JMSN Kumara secured the 25th position of overall competition. Incidentally, he became the 3rd in the age category of 25-29 and 1st among Sri Lankan contestants who took part in the competition.
