Computer laboratory of Sri Ganesha Maha Vidyalaya renovated by Navy
 

The renovated computer laboratory of Sri Ganesha Maha Vidyalaya in Pungudutivu, Jaffna was declared open for the use of school children yesterday (01st August) under the auspices of the Deputy Area Commander of Northern Naval area, Commodore Senarath Wijesooriya. The renovation work was undertaken following the directives of the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe, as part of Navy’s Corporate Social Responsibility project. The event was also attended by the Commanding Officer SLNS Gotaimbara, Commander (G) Prasad Vithanage, Staff Officer Land Operation (North) Commander (NP) Buddhika Chandrasiri, Principal of the school, Mr. S Kamalendran, teachers, school children and their parents.

The project which was sponsored by the Old Boys’ Association of Royal College, Colombo was completed within a short span of time, utilizing the manpower of the Navy. The entire renovation process came under close supervision of the Commander Northern Naval Area and Commanding Officer SLNS Gotaimbara. The Principal and the parents of school children expressed their gratitude to the Navy for swift completion of renovation work.
