‘Sayurusara’ completes 10 years; 33rd edition launched
The first copy of the 33rd edition of ‘Sayurusara’ magazine which encompasses articles of the naval personnel, was presented to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne by the Chief Editor of the magazine Lieutenant Commander Ruwan Premaweera at the Naval Headquarters today (July, 24).

A group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command managed to rescue 2 elephants that were swept out to the sea, in between Round Island and Foul Point, Trincomalee this morning (July, 23).

JMSDF ships leave Colombo harbour on completion of successful tour
The Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships; Izumo and Sazanami which arrived in Sri Lanka on goodwill visit on 20th July, set sail for the return journey from the Colombo harbour today (July 23), on successful completion of their tour. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship in accordance with naval traditions, on their departure.

Seven suspects nabbed with a stock of five ocean Thresher Sharks
On receipt of an intelligence tip-off to the Navy, a group of Coast Guard personnel arrested a catch of 5 ocean Thresher sharks and 7 personnel engaged in the illegal activity at Tangalle Fisheries Harbour yesterday (20th July).
