Trincomalee Naval Exercise (TRINEX) – 24 wraps up with resounding success

The Trincomalee Naval Exercise (TRINEX) – 24, hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy, took place in the Trincomalee harbour and eastern seas from 04th to 08th March 2024. The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera inspected the final day of the exercise embarked onboard SLNS Gajabahu.

02nd Indo Pacific Regional Information Sharing Steering Committee Meeting concludes on successful note

The second (02nd) Indo Pacific Regional Information Sharing (IORIS) Steering Committee Meeting concluded on a successful note on 07th March 2024. Co-chaired by the Sri Lanka Navy and CRIMARIO II, IORIS Steering Committee Meeting was held over three days (05th -07th March) in Colombo.

Commander of the Navy pins insignia on 17 sailors completed Clearance Diver III course - No 64

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, as the Chief Guest, graced the passing out and insignia pinning ceremony of 17 naval personnel who successfully completed the Clearance Diver III course No 64. The event was held at the Diving School in the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee on 07th March 2024.

382 recruits of 253rd intake of Regular and Volunteer Naval Forces pass out at SLNS Shiksha, Poonewa

After completion of their basic training, 337 recruits of Regular and 45 recruits of Volunteer Naval Forces of the Sri Lanka Navy, belonging to the 253rd intake, passed out in a colourful ceremony held at the main parade ground of SLNS Shiksha, Poonewa today (07th March 2024)

Proposal for Sri Lanka Navy’s Strategy 2030 & Beyond presented to Hon. President

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera presented the “Proposal for Sri Lanka Navy’s Strategy 2030 & Beyond” to Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President and Commander - in - Chief of the Armed Forces of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka at the Navy House in Naval Dockyard Trincomalee on 01st March 2024. The Navy introduced Sri Lanka Navy’s Strategy-2030 in line with the government’s objective to guarantee the complete development of Sri Lanka as a thriving nation by 2048.

Trincomalee Naval Exercise (TRINEX) – 24 commences

The Trincomalee Naval Exercise (TRINEX) – 24, hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy, commenced in the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee today (04th March 2024). The opening ceremony of the exercise was attended by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva. TRINEX will take place in the Trincomalee harbor and eastern seas until 08th March.
