Defence Attaché to Embassy of People's Republic of China calls of Navy Commander

Senior Colonel FU Xiao, the Defence Attaché to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, the Commander of the Navy at Navy Headquarters today, 4 September 2026.

During the cordial meeting, Senior Colonel Xiao conveyed best wishes to Vice Admiral Fernando for his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.

Their discussions focused on several matters of bilateral importance and long standing cooperation between the two countries. Signifying the importance of the occasion, mementos were also exchanged.
