Sri Lanka Navy Seizes Drug Cache in Northern Coast Operation Jaffna

The Sri Lanka Navy apprehended a cache of narcotics during a special operation conducted at the Kusumanthurai beach area in Madagal early this morning (27 September 2026).

The pre-dawn raid, launched by naval fleet units and SLNS Agbo personnel in the Northern Naval Command, also led to the apprehension of one suspect (1) and seizure of a boat (1) believed to be involved in the smuggling attempt.

Naval personnel are currently conducting further investigations into the seized contraband. More details to follow as the story develops.
