Navy secures women’s runner-up title at National Beach Volleyball Championship 2026

The Sri Lanka Navy Women’s 'A' beach volleyball team finished as runners-up at the National Beach Volleyball Championship 2026, held at Negombo’s Sarakkuwa beach on 19 and 20 September 2026.

Six (6) leading teams, including 2 teams representing the Navy, competed in the tournament. The Navy's 'A' team reached the final to face Omega Line. In a close three-set match, Navy players; Woman Able Seaman WS Asanga and Woman Ordinary Seaman DMKK Dissanayake finished 1-2, securing second place.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports attended the final as chief guest. Commander KSM Silva, Executive Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation and Secretary of the Sri Lanka Navy Volleyball, represented the Navy at the closing ceremony.
