The ceremonial event to mark the World Children’s Day that falls today (01st October) and 125th anniversary of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) for Children was graced by the Prime Minister, Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa and the occasion was also attended by Commander of the Navy Vice, Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.

The annual event organized by the ‘Senehasa’ Education Resource Research and Information Center to unveil the talents of its children with special needs, on the sidelines of the World Children's Day, was held today (01st October 2020) under the patronage of the First Lady, Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa. Ranaviru Seva Authority launches mobile service for the benefit of war hero families

The Ranaviru Seva Authority has made arrangements to launch a mobile service for the welfare of the families of war heroes from tri-services, Police and Civil Security Department, whom were killed, disabled, went missing in action as well as those who have been retired from service. Accordingly, this initiative is set to get off the ground on 03rd October 2020, from 0800hrs to 1700hrs at the Gajaba Regimental HQ Saliyapura, under the precedence of Secretary Defence, Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, tri-service commanders and acting Inspector General of Police.
