INS SATPURA departs island

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) SATPURA which called at the Port of Colombo for replenishment, departed the island on 24 Sep 25. In keeping with time-honoured naval traditions, the Sri Lanka Navy extended a customary farewell to the departing vessel at the Port of Colombo.

The 12th Galle Dialogue International Maritime Conference commenced on 24 Sep 25 at the Wave n' Lake Navy Hall in Welisara, marking a gathering of global maritime expertise. Organized by the Sri Lanka Navy under the patronage of the Ministry of Defence, the event drew participation from 37 nations and international organizations. The opening day of the conference concluded on a successful note, featuring discussions spread across three sessions, including a Plenary Session, under the theme of ‘Maritime Outlook of the Indian Ocean under Changing Dynamics’.

Sri Lanka Navy convenes global maritime leaders at 12th Galle Dialogue in Welisara
