SLINEX-25 sets sail in Colombo

The Sri Lanka–India Naval Exercise 2025 (SLINEX-25), a bilateral naval exercise between Sri Lanka and India, was officially launched today (14 August 25) aboard the Sri Lanka Naval Ship (SLNS) Vijayabahu at Colombo Port, presided over by the Deputy Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Dr. Satyanjal Pandey along with the attendance of the Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Buddhika Liyanagamage.

Duo of Indian Naval Ships arrive in Colombo to participate in bilateral naval exercise SLINEX – 25

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Jyoti and INS Rana arrived at the Port of Colombo today (14 Aug 25) to take part in the 12th edition of the Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise (SLINEX – 25). The Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the visiting vessels in keeping with maritime traditions.

Embarking on naval career: Fifty-nine (59) Officer Cadets receives letters of appointment

During a formal ceremony held at the Navy Headquarters on 12 Aug 25, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, awarded letters of appointment to 59 Officer Cadets of the Sri Lanka Navy. The group comprised 56 Officer Cadets from the 68th intake and 03 Officer Cadets enrolled under the University Grants Commission scheme.
