Ranaviru Seva Authority launches mobile service for the benefit of war hero families
The Ranaviru Seva Authority has made arrangements to launch a mobile service for the welfare of the families of war heroes from tri-services, Police and Civil Security Department, whom were killed, disabled, went missing in action as well as those who have been retired from service. Accordingly, this initiative is set to get off the ground on 03rd October 2020, from 0800hrs to 1700hrs at the Gajaba Regimental HQ Saliyapura, under the precedence of Secretary Defence, Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, tri-service commanders and acting Inspector General of Police.

Forty three (43) persons engaged in illegal fishing held by Navy
During special operations conducted in the Eastern, Northern and North Central Naval Commands in the previous week, the Navy apprehended 43 persons along with dinghies and fishing gear for engaging in illegal fishing.
