Ambassador of the Netherlands meets Navy Commander

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Sri Lanka, H.E. Wiebe Jakob De Boer, met the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando at Navy Headquarters today, 21 August 2026.

During the official meeting, Ambassador De Boer congratulated Vice Admiral Fernando on assuming office as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. The two officials also discussed matters of mutual interest, including cooperation between the naval forces of both countries.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of mementoes between the two sides.
