Navy merges integrity with dengue eradication mission
The Navy conducted a series of dengue prevention programmes across its bases and surrounding communities on 31 July 2026 as part of the national initiative of ‘A Culture of Integrity – A Clean Sri Lanka’, aimed at supporting efforts to curb the spread of dengue.
The programmes were carried out at naval establishments under the Western, Southern, North Central, Northwestern and Southeastern Naval Commands. Activities focused on cleaning the surrounding environment and promoting proper disposal of waste to help maintain cleaner and healthier communities.
A large number of naval personnel took part in the campaign, reflecting the Navy's continued commitment to supporting nationwide dengue prevention efforts through regular community-based environmental clean-up initiatives.
