Northwestern Naval Command organizes blood donation programme

The Navy held a blood donation programme at the hospital premises of the Northwestern Naval Command today, 8 August 2026.

The programme which was part of the Naval Social Responsibility initiative was held under the supervision of Commander Northwestern Naval Area.

In response to a request from the National Blood Transfusion Centre in Mannar, this magnanimous programme was assisted by the Blood Bank of the Mannar District General Hospital.

A group of naval personnel and their family members from the Northwestern Naval Command volunteered to donate blood as part of the initiative.
