Senior Defence Official to the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka calls on Commander of the Navy

Lieutenant Colonel Matthew House, Senior Defense Official and Defence Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka called on Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, Commander of the Navy at the Navy Headquarters today, 04 August 2026.

During the ensuing cordial meeting, Lieutenant Colonel House conveyed best wishes to Vice Admiral Fernando for his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.

Their discussion focused on several matters of bilateral importance and long-standing cooperation between the two countries. Signifying the importance of the occasion the Commander of the Navy presented a memento.
