The Sri Lanka Navy pledged its support to the National Integrity Week, held under the theme ‘A Culture of Integrity – A Clean Sri Lanka.’ The event was held at Navy Headquarters today, 27 July 2026, under the patronage of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando.

During the event, naval personnel and civilian staff employees read out the National Integrity Pledge, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.

The programme defines integrity as the responsible execution of duties with self-discipline, self-regulation, and self-monitoring, while maintaining honesty, transparency, and the highest ethical standards. This endeavour promotes the values of unity, self-esteem, accountability, trust, realism, thrift, transparency, equality, consensus and sincerity.

The event at the Navy Headquarters was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera, senior and junior officers, sailors, and civil staff employees. In parallel with the main event at Navy Headquarters, similar events were conducted across ships and establishments belonging to all Naval Commands.
