ASYMMETRIC WARFARE COURSE 2014 COMMENCES

The Special Boat Squadron of the Sri Lanka Navy commenced the asymmetric warfare course 2014 on 27th January 2014 at their headquarters in Trincomalee. Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Rohan Amarasinghe graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Twenty-four officers and sailors from Pakistan, China, Maldives, Bangladesh, Sudan and Sri Lanka participate in the 03- month long course.

One officer and 03 sailors from Pakistan and Sudan each and 04 officers from China, one officer from Bangladesh and one Coast Guard officer and 02 sailors from Maldives are among the foreign participants. Eight sailors from the Special Boat Squadron of the Sri Lanka Navy also participate in the course.
