EASTERN NAVAL COMMAND CLINCHS INTER COMMAND SEA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP

The Eastern Naval Command won the championship at the Inter-Command Sea Swimming Competition on 01st February 2014 at Nicholson Cove seas in Trincomalee. Command Superintend Dockyard, Commodore HDRN Premasiri graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Two hundred and thirty-four competitors participated in the competition. Leading Diver, NTD Bandara of the Training Pool won the first place. Able Diver, RAIMRK Rajakaruna of the Eastern Naval Command and Able Seaman, RMDM Rathnayaka secured the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

The Eastern Naval Command emerged the champions obtaining 180 marks. The Training Pool became the runners-up with 120 marks and the third place was won by the North Central Naval Command with 54 marks.
