‘Ranaviru Real Star’ Mission IV Finals Press Conference

A special press conference presided by Secretary of Defence & Urban Development, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa was held at the Galadari Hotel on 24^th February 2014 in view of the ‘Ranaviru Real Star’ Mission IV final contest, which is scheduled to be held on July 26^th. Chief of Defence Staff, General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama were also present on the occasion.

‘Ranaviru Real Star’ is the first ever reality TV show held exclusively for tri-forces personnel. It is organized by the Ministry of Defence under a concept of the Secretary of Defence to develop the aesthetic talents of armed forces personnel.

Thirty-six finalists short-listed from 7,500 contestants vie for the honours this year. All will be given valuable prizes and disabled and female competitors will receive special prizes.
