Navy beat Air Force

Navy Sports Club beat Air Force Sports Club 55 – 03 in the first quarter-final of the Dialog-sponsored Clifford Cup knock out tournament, which was worked off at the Race Course Grounds on 27^th February 2014. His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, First Lady, Madam Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Srima Colombage, Chief of Staff of the Navy and senior naval officers were also present to witness the match.

Navy scored 07 goals and 02 penalties while Air Force scored only one penalty in reply.
