Commander of the Navy Visits Eastern Naval Area
Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage visited the Eastern Naval Area on 08th March 2014. He addressed the participants of the Long Logistics Management Course (LLMC) and presided over a discussion aimed at establishing an Analytical Studies and Evaluation Cell in Trincomalee. It was attended by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Rohan Amarasinghe, Director General Training, Rear Admiral Udaya Bandara, Commandant Naval & Maritime Academy, Commodore Ruwan Perera, senior officers representing the Eastern Naval Area and the Heads of Departments in the Eastern Naval Command.
During the visit, the Commander reviewed the progress of the constructions in the Eastern Naval Area. He also made a fleet inspection of SLNS Samudura and SLNS Nandimithra. He was received by Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Commodore Nimal Sarathsena. The Commander also visited the ‘Green Techno 2014’ technical exhibition organized by the Electrical and Electronic Department of the Eastern Naval Command.
