The inter-command athletics meet of the Sri Lanka Navy was held at the Sugathadasa Stadium on 26th and 27th May 2014 with the participation of over 480 athletes. Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage was the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony held on 27th.

Pakistan Naval Ship “Shamsheer” arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on 13th May 2014. They were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on arrival.
