High-Level Chinese Delegation visits Trincomalee Naval Dockyard
A high-level Chinese delegation visited the Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee on 14th May 2014. They were warmly received by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Rohan Amarasinghe.
The delegation was headed by Air Chief Marshal Qiliang, who is the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China.
Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage was among the top officials that were present at the Bandaranaike International Airport to receive the Chinese delegation on their arrival in the island. They were on a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening the bilateral and military relations between the two countries.
