Navy Poson Programme “Daham Ama Sinduranga” held at Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium

"Daham Ama Sinduranga", a special programme organized by the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit in view of Poson was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium on 10^th June 2014.

First Lady Madam Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Ven. Dr. Kirinde Assaji Thera, Parliamentarian, Mrs. Malini Fonseka, MOD Seva Vanitha Unit President, Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, Navy Seva Vanitha Unit President, Mrs. Srima Colombage and senior naval officers were also present on the occasion.

The special religious programme, a concept of the Commander of the Navy implemented under the guidance of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit President, was presented by the Navy cultural troupe with dancing performances by Master Choreographer Ravibandhu Vidyapathi, lyrical compositions by Ven. Rabukkana Siddhartha Thera and Buddhist devotional songs by prominent singers in the island. The event, which won wide admiration, aimed at portraying the peace-loving citizens' devotions to a great religion and the country's rich cultural traditions.
