COMMANDER OF THE NAVY ADDRESSES MBA STUDENTS AT COLOMBO UNIVERSITY

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage addressed the MBA students of the Colombo University on 18^th January 2014. His inspirational speech titled "Developing Next Wave of Organizational Leaders for Sri Lanka" held the audience spell-bound due to the wealth of information it shared drawing on the experiences of a victorious Navy that has won wide acclaim the world over and an exemplary leader who regards career not as a sprint but a marathon where every opportunity counts. Focusing the aspiring corporate leaders' attention on the success behind naval leadership, Vice Admiral Colombage stated that navigation is both a science as well as an art that enables a ship to be taken from one place to another. Although that science can be taught, the art which lies beneath must be acquired to achieve the desired success, he stressed.
