Male Sea Cadet Assessment Camp - 2014 concludes

The Male Sea Cadet Assessment Camp - 2014, which was held at the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee, concluded on 18^th June 2014. Director of the National Cadet Corps, Major General HMHA Herath participated as the Chief Guest. St. Sylvester's College Kandy won the first place this year and Maliyadeva College Kurunegalle won the second place.

The Naval Wing of the National Cadet Corps, which was started in 2008, has now 109 boys platoons and 126 girls platoons and 50 bands covering the whole island.

Two Cadet Bands and the Navy’s Western and Cultural Band presented a colourful show at the concluding ceremony. Senior officers from the Eastern Naval Command and the National Cadet Corps, the principals and teachers from the schools and parents were present on the occasion.
