Commander of the Navy calls on His Excellency the President

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera called on His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on 01^st July 2014.

His Excellency the President was pleased to appoint Vice Admiral Perera as the new Navy Commander with effect from 01^st July 2014.

His Excellency the President expressed his appreciation of the Sri Lanka Navy’s contribution to the ongoing nation building and national development activities and extended his best wishes to the Navy Commander on his new appointment. The Commander of the Navy presented a special memento to His Excellency the President to mark his first official call on the President upon assumption of duties in his new office.
