Commander of the Navy visits the Sacred City of Anuradhapura
 

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera paid homage to the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Maha Seya in the sacred city of Anuradhapura on 19th July 2014 to receive blessings on his new appointment. The Navy Commander was accompanied by his family members and several senior naval officers.

Atamasthanadhipathi, Dr. Ven. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera invoked the blessings of the Triple Gem on the Navy Commander and delivered an Anusasana. The Navy Commander offered Atamasthanadhipathi Thera an Atapirikara and expressed his heart-felt gratitude for his wise counsel. Thereafter, the Navy Commander called on Viharadhipathi, Chief Priest of the most venerated Ruwanweli Maha Seya, Venerable Pallegama Hemaratana Thera to receive his blessings.
