Navy’s performance impressive at Defence Services Games 2014
 

In an impressive performance, as at today the Navy has been able to bag 94 Gold, 86 Silver and 84 Bronze medals at the Defence Services Games 2014, which are currently under way with the participation of tri-services s personnel showcasing their sporting talents. The finals are scheduled for October when the very best will be crowned for their excellence in performance and true spirit in sportsmanship. Sri Lanka Navy hosts this year’s Defence Services Games under the direction of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, who is also the President of the Defence Services Sports Board.

The Navy shares a proud history with the DSG winning its joint championship in 2010 and becoming the overall champions in 2012.
