Navy wins 03rd place at Ranaviru Real Star Mission 4
 

Medical Assistant Sumen Rishi of the Sri Lanka Navy won the Third Place at the “Ranaviru Real Star – Mission 4” Finals held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on 26^th July 2014. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. First Lady Madam Shiranthi Rajapaksha, Secretary Defence and Urban Development Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, President, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa and Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera were also among the distinguished guests who attended the finals of the first ever reality TV show held exclusively for tri-forces personnel.

In recognition of his exceptional talents which brought credit and honour to the Navy, the Commander of the Navy has granted Sumen Rishi a field promotion to the rate of Leading Medical Assistant.
