Commander of the Navy congratulates Tri-Service Cadet Officer Contingent taking part in World Military Cadet Games at Ecuador

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, who is the President of the Defence Services Sports Board, addressed the tri-services cadet officer contingent, who is taking part in the World Military Cadet Games scheduled to be held in Ecuador, at the Naval Headquarters on 26th August 2014. The contingent consists of 23 Officer-Under-Trainees representing Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force.


The Navy Commander congratulated the sports personnel, who will take part in swimming, shooting and athletics at the mega sports event organized under the auspices of the International Military Sports Council (CISM). He expressed his confidence that they will be able to make an impressive performance bringing credit to the Motherland. He requested them to gain maximum benefit of the opportunity as they will be able to compete with cadet officers belonging to different militaries in the world and exchange views promoting solidarity and world peace.
