SLN Assists in Relief Operations in Meeriyabedda
 
 

A contingent of Naval personnel has been deployed to assist the rescue operations of the landslide-affected Koslandawatta-Meeriyabedda estate areas of Haldummulla Divisional Secretariat since yesterday (31).

Under the directives of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera the Naval contingent is engaged in relief and rescue operations along with the SL Army and SL Air Force in coordination with Disaster Management Centre officials and all other relevant agencies, present at the site.
