Navy's 64th anniversary concluding religious ceremony held at Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya

The concluding religious ceremony in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 64th anniversary was held at the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya on 26th December 2014. A “Bodhi Pooja” followed by a “Bana” was conducted invoking blessings on the Navy and naval personnel. The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, Mrs. Shalika Perera, The Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Dayananda Nanayakkara, Senior naval officers and sailors were also present on the occasion.

Sri Lanka Navy celebrated its 64th Anniversary on 09th December 2014 giving prominence to religious activities. Merit was invoked on the heroic naval personnel who laid down their lives in the defence of the Motherland.
