Indian Coast Guard ship “Vaibhav” arrives at the Port of Trincomalee
 

Indian Coast Guard ship, “Vaibhav” arrived at the Port of Trincomalee on 28th January 2015 and it was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on arrival. Ship’s Commanding Officer Inspector General Anil Kumar paid a courtesy call on the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Rohana Perera at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters. They held cordial discussions and exchange mementos as a gesture of goodwill.

The Commander Eastern Naval Area also made an observation visit to the ship. The officers and sailors of both ICG Vaibhav and Coastguard Department of Sri Lanka engaged in instructional classes, activities related to sports and sea together onboard ship.

The ship will remain in Sri Lanka till 02nd February 2015.
