State Minister of Defence visits Security Forces Headquarters Wanni
 
 

The State Minister of Defence Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene visited the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni on 07^th February 2015. He was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Staff General Jagath Jayasuriya, the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera and the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunathileke.

On his arrival at the Wanni Air Force base in Vavuniya, the State Minister of Defence was received by the Commander Security Forces - Wanni Major General Boniface Perera. He was accorded a Guard of Honour at the SFHQ-W where he addressed a cross section of the tri-forces personnel serving in the Wanni region.

The Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Dimuthu Gunawardene and regional heads of the Armed Forces had also been present on the occasion.
