Commander of the Navy declares open SLNS Nipuna Wardroom
 
 

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera declared open the newly-constructed wardroom at SLNS Nipuna in Boossa on 16^th May 2015. Mrs. Shalika Perera, the Commander Southern Naval Area Rear Admiral Jagath Ranasinghe, senior naval officers attached to the Naval Headquarters and the Southern Naval Command and their spouses were also present on the occasion.

The spacious facility, built fulfilling a long-felt need at SLNS Nipuna, consists of a well-equipped banquet hall, a fully-furnished lounge, and three floors with separate lobbies, balconies and TV viewing areas for officer accommodation.
