Navy wins Bronze at 49th Asian Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship held in Japan

Sadeep Prasanna of the Sri Lanka Navy won the bronze medal in the 55KG category at the 49^th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships held in Japan. He represented Sri Lanka with fellow SLN bodybuilders BDC Dias (60KG), who was placed fourth and Subash Siriwardene (65KG) at the tournament organized by the Asian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (AFBF).

Prasanna has an impressive record of performance to his credit and had won the silver medal in the same weight category at the 48^th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships held in Sri Lanka last year. Although not lucky enough to win a medal this year, Subash had won a gold medal last year bringing honour to the Navy along with Prasanna.

The 49th championship was held in the city of Kitakyushu from 05th to 08th June 2015 with the participation of contestants from 17 countries.
