Western Naval Command conducts a field medical clinic in Handala

The Western Naval Command conducted a field medical clinic at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Balagala in Handala on 28^th October 2015. It was held under the patronage of the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha De Silva in coordination with the Handala Lions Club and Balagala Deepaloka Welfare Association.

Over 650 patients belonging to the under privileged families in the area were treated for respiratory and other ailments. Moreover medical tests were carried out to identify diabetes patients as well. The clinic was conducted by medical officers and personnel attached to the Naval Hospital Welisara.
