65th Navy Day Islamic Religious Ceremony

An Islamic religious ceremony was held in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 65th Anniversary at the Jummah Masjid Mosque at Chatham Street, Fort on 02nd December 2015. Blessings were invoked on the Navy and Naval personnel during the religious service attended by the Director General Services, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, the Commanding Officer SLNS Parakrama, Captain Nishantha Amarosa, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Navy Muslim Association, Captain Akram Alavi and senior naval officers and sailors.

Sri Lanka Navy celebrates its 65th Anniversary on 09th December 2015, giving prominence to religious activities and time-honoured naval customs and traditions.
