Navy renders assistance to repair Rajangana Reservoir’s sluice gates

The Navy rendered assistance to repair the left bank sluice gates of the Rajangana Reservoir, which had been non-operational for nearly a week. In response to a request made by the Rajangana regional irrigational engineer, the naval divers attached to the North Central Naval Command assisted in the repair work on the inside and outside gates of the 35-feet deep sluice. Within two days, they were able to make both gates operational, enabling over 10,000 acres of cultivated paddy land to receive much needed water.
