Eight Indian fishermen arrested in northern seas

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest eight Indian fishermen along with two Indian fishing dhows poaching in Sri Lankan waters North West of Kovilan Point in Kareinagar on 2^nd March 2016.

The arrested fishermen along with the fishing dhows will be handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Kankasanthurai for onward action.
