Naval personnel nab six local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
 

Naval personnel attached to SLN Dockyard arrested six local fishermen, with 3 Fiber Glass Dinghies, engaged in illegal fishing in the seas off Koneshwaram, Trincomalee on 16^th March 2016. During the arrest, three pairs of diving fins, fifteen oxygen cylinders and 63 saltwater fish belonging to various species, were taken into custody.

The suspects and belongings were produced to the Harbour Police Station Trincomalee for onward investigations.
