Navy organizes friendly sporting events for the crew of USS Blue Ridge
 

The Sri Lanka Navy organized a series of friendly sporting events for the ship crew of USS Blue Ridge which arrived in Sri Lanka on 26^th March, to strengthen the relationship among the naval personnel of two navies.

As a result, a Basketball and Baseball games were held on 27^th March at the Welisara Sports ground. During the Baseball game the Sri Lanka Navy Baseball team was able to clinch a victory beating the American Baseball team. However in the Basketball match the American team became victorious beating their counterparts. Further, in the Soccer game played today (28) the Sri Lanka Navy Soccer team emerged champions beating the American Soccer team by 3-Nil.
