Naval personnel nab four local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
 

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Buwaneka in Nachchikuda arrested four local fishermen, engaged in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets in the seas off South of Iranathivu on 09^th April 2016. During the arrest, 2 FGD and 3 Monofilament nets used for fishing were taken into custody.

The arrested persons and the items were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries (Kilinochchi) for further investigations.
