Indian Naval Ships held a grand reception onboard while on a training visit to Sri Lanka
 

Displaying warm hospitality the Indian Naval Ships; INS Tir, Sujatha and Coast Guard Ship Varuna, a colourful reception was held onboard INS Tir last evening (18).The Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Hon. Malik Samarawickrama graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Further the reception was attended by the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka His Excellency YK Singha, along with other diplomats and Defence Advisors, the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral and Mrs. Girish Luthra, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala, a host of distinguished guests and many senior naval officers along with their wives.

The evening was made very colourful by the dazzling entertainment provided by the Indian Navy Officer Under Trainees. The guests were welcomed onboard very cordially by the Indian naval officers and they were served with a wide array of scrumptious Indian cuisines. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion. The trio of Indian naval ships departed the port of Colombo this morning (19) on successful completion of their training visit.
