Navy assists the renovation of St. Anthony’s Chapel in KKS

The St. Anthony's Chapel which is located in the premises of SLNS Uththara was completely renovated and the first Holy Mass after the renovation was held on 01^st May 2016. The Mass was conducted by Rv.Fr. Sunil Kumar Peiris with the participation of Catholic / Christian officers and sailors of Northern Naval Command.

The Buddhist Association of Sri Lanka Navy provided a share of the total financial requirement to renovate this chapel. The Catholic / Christian community of Sri Lanka Navy highly appreciated the act of Sri Lanka Navy Buddhist Association which had shown the true spirit of religious harmony. The naval personnel of attached to the Northern Naval Command had a keen interest with regard to the renovation of the Chapel.
