Commander of the Navy hands over appointment letters to Navy’s civil employees
 

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne presided over a ceremony which was organized to hand over appointment letters and appreciated the service of the civil employees attached to Naval Headquarters. The ceremony was held at SLNS Parakrama today (3). Commander of the Navy was warmly welcomed by the Civil Administrative Director, Mrs. Devika Liyanage upon his arrival. During the ceremony 48 appointment letters were handed over to civil employees and 20 more of them were awarded with mementos in recognition of their service rendered for the Navy. Further 5 employees were given commendation letters for the best attendance in year 2015.

Addressing the gathering, Commander of the Navy was thankful to the Navy’s civil employees for extending their fullest cooperation in naval administrative and routine work. Further he highlighted the programmes which are in place to improve the welfare of civil employees and asked them to render their service continuously for the betterment of the navy. Senior officers of the Naval Headquarters and members of Civil Administrative Staff were also present on the occasion.
