Fleet Amphibious Landing Exercise of Amphibious Operation Course comes to an end
 

The final Fleet Amphibious Landing Exercise of the 2nd Amphibious Operation Course carried out by the Navy’s Patrolman Branch, came to an end at the coastal belt of SLNS Kashyapa in Vakarei on 09th June 2016. The course was commenced on 27th April 2016 at SLNS Barana in Mullikulam.

This seven-week-long course largely consisted of amphibious operation exercises, camping exercises and entrenchment exercises and was followed by 11 officers and 108 sailors. Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah graced the occasion as the chief guest at the invitation of the Course Officer of the Amphibious Operation Course, Director Naval Land Operation, Commodore Udeni Serasinghe. A host of senior naval officers and officers from tri-services also attended this occasion.
